Cosplay rules

1. Performance categories and duration

SOLO – up to 1 minute
Group (up to 8 members) – up to 2 minutes

2. Costume rules

2.1. SOLO – previously presented costumes (cosplay competitions in Lithuania, or abroad) are accepted, but the performance itself must be brand new.

2.2. Group – previously presented costumes (cosplay competitions in Lithuania, or abroad) are accepted, but the performance itself must be brand new.

2.3. Costume sources allowed: official, fan art and original characters.

2.4. Costume must cover swimsuit areas. Body paint will not be considered as cover.

2.5. Costume props (guns, blades, etc.) must be safe. They must be made from safe materials (plastics, gum, light wood, foam, etc.). Metal blades are forbidden (dulled or not sharp as well). All blades and weapons will be checked by security at the venue entrance or at any time during the convention. Any blades, swords, knives, axes and other piercing and slashing items that do not fit this criteria will be confiscated until the end of the event.

3. Performance rules

3.1. A good quality picture of the character must be provided. If you need some music to play during your performance – please attach the audio file to the registration. If you are going to speak during the performance, please record the soundtrack and send it to us, because there won’t be a possibility to use a microphone during the performance.

3.2.  We recommend to refrain from popular trendy music. We understand that such music might liven up your performance, but the use of such music is illegal and it cannot be used in video recordings or live streams. Use of OST is allowed.

3.3. One person can only perform on stage up to 2 times.

3.4. No pyrotechnics, fire, explosive devices, live animals or similar special effects can be used during the convention and the competition.

3.5. Lasers are not allowed.

3.6. Due to the fact that there will be under-age persons at the event, there should not be any open sexual content, excessive cruelty, inappropriate language. Performances that do not fit into these rules will be disqualified.

4. General information

4.1. By entering the cosplay contest, you agree to have your image, video and sound recording taken and allow your image to be used in future advertising and marketing efforts.

4.2. Organizers retain the right to disqualify you from the competition and to ask you to leave the event for not following the rules, depending on the severity of the incursion.
