GameOn, 16-17 September, in Vilnius, Lithuania, and Nordic Game, have announced a partnership agreement regarding the Game Discovery Contest. The second qualifying round of this season’s contest will take place as part of the biggest gaming culture event in the region GameOn on 16 September 2017. The winner will earn a place in the Nordic Game Discovery Contest Finals at next year’s Nordic Game Conference, 23-25 May 2018.
This year the event will open up to 12.000 sq. m. of expo space with the biggest eSports tuornament in the Baltic states taking place as well. Organisers themselves are hoping for more than 15.000 gamers to visit the venue over two days, which would make it one of the most popular events in the region.
“It is a great privilege and honor for GameOn to partner with Nordic Game Discovery Contest, but more importantly it’s a fantastic opportunity for companies from Baltic States to get their game projects discovered“— says Arthur Rumiancevas, Head of the GameOn event. “Our region is emerging and rich with young and creative talent, that is yet to be discovered by the rest of the world. We can’t wait to become a part of this Discovery Contest“.
“The gaming scene in the Baltic region is constantly expanding, and we are very excited to be partnering with GameOn for the second qualifier of the second season of the Discovery Contest”, adds Jacob Riis, Program Director at Nordic Game. “We hope to see a lot of exciting projects entering the contest and battling on stage!”
